David Kensler, LCSW Therapist

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult relationships, or painful experiences begin to affect your daily life. Therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand what you’re going through, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I am David Kensler, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in mental health and addiction treatment. I provide virtual therapy for adults throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as in-person sessions at my Newtown, PA office. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs and goals to support meaningful, lasting change.

I work with adults navigating trauma, mental health concerns, and co-occurring disorders. Whether you’re entering therapy for the first time after a recommendation, continuing care following hospitalization or an intensive outpatient program (IOP), or seeking ongoing support, I can help you and your loved ones find a steady path forward.

I also support professionals managing work-related stress and burnout, as well as individuals experiencing major life transitions such as becoming a new parent, starting a new job, getting married, or adjusting to retirement.

In addition, I work with LGBTQIA+ individuals and families navigating identity-related concerns, including coming out, coping with discrimination, and accessing or supporting gender-affirming care.
